David Simmerman
Senior Pastor

​Pastor David joined our staff in March 2014.  He has served as youth pastor, associate pastor, and connections pastor at churches across Tennessee and has more than 30 years of ministry experience.  He has a master's degree in Counseling from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Ministry degree from Temple Baptist Seminary.  Pastor David is originally from Jonesborough, TN and enjoys cycling and watching Tennessee football.  He and his wife LeAnn have four children: Alex, Olivia, Joshua, and Lucas.

Marty Frakes
Student Pastor

Pastor Marty and Christa joined our staff in September 2020.  Marty was raised in Lawrence County and has long desired to return and minister to the students in this area.  Marty and Christa have two biological children, Chris (wife Ciara) and Corbin (husband Josh).  They have fostered many children over the years and have adopted Joshua, Bella, and David.  Marty and Christa have four grandchildren- Samson and Hudson Frakes, and Clara Ann and Charlie Dantzler.  Marty's passion is to see students take ownership in their faith and to walk boldly with the Lord long after they leave student ministry.  

Roric Boese
Worship/Connections Pastor

​Roric joined the Leoma Baptist staff in April 2022 after moving from California to Tennessee with his wife, Kaity, in 2018. He has been leading in church music ministry as both volunteer and staff for almost 20 years, and aspires to share his passion for Spirit-led worship with his church family. As a Christian singer/songwriter, Roric also feels called to use his gift to share the gospel in Germany someday. He and Kaity are residents of Loretto and are parents to Adelyn and Malakai.

Amber McGimsey
Children's and Preschool Director

Amber and her family moved to Lawrenceburg from Colorado in 2020. In Colorado, Amber served as Children's Director, and Preschool Director at two churches in the Denver area. Amber and her husband Scott are the parents to two boys, Eli and Levi. Amber is also a homeschool mom, and enjoys selling travel and reading. She also has two grandchildren, William and Emersyn. 

Ashley Massey
Children's Ministry Assistant/
Special Needs Coordinator

Ashley and her family moved to Leoma from Alaska in 2020. Ashley and her husband Michael have two boys, Korbin and Ethan. Her family joined the church in January of 2021. She enjoys homeschooling her children and art. She joined the LBC staff in May of 2023.

Dana Slater
Office Manager

Dana began working with our church in December 1999.  She is married to Steve, her high school sweetheart, and they have three children, Caleb, Christian and Seth along with 2 grandboys.  They live in the Deerfield community and are members of Deerfield Baptist Church.

Sherry Dunn
Facilities Mgr/Social Media Director

Sherry joined our staff in Febrary 2015. In addition to being our Facilities Manager, she is also our social media director. She enjoys working with flowers and making wreaths.  She is the owner of The Flower Shack.  She has two sons, Ethan and Evan. She also has one grandson, Greyson.

John and his wife Roxie moved here from California in 2020. They joined LBC in 2022.  John is retired from the Army. and also. the railroad. He enjoys the outdoors and working with his hands. John joined our staff in 2024.

Beth Allen
Food Services Director

Beth is our food services director. She is married to Wayne Allen. They have 6 children between the two of them. Oakley, Joy, and Branson are still at home. She has been attending LBC since she was a toddler.  She came  on staff January of 2022.

Tabetha Garcia
Custodian

Tabetha and her family have been members of Leoma Baptist Church since 2022. She is married to David and is the proud mom of three young  children and an adopted grown son. Tabetha is passionate about serving both her church family and her community, and she looks forward to continuing to grow in faith and serve wherever God leads.
